Learning how to fly an airplane and having a pilot's certificate to fly to distant cities, day or night, with friends and family is one of the greatest joys in life!
Surprisingly, learning to fly is far easier than many people think. In fact, with proper flight instruction combined with a modern, glass cockpit aircraft, you can obtain your private pilot's certificate in as little as 30 days! The only requirement is that you commit to just a few hours a day, four days a week for just one month.
A word of caution . . . accelerated learning is only effective if it is combined with immediate application of newly acquired knowledge and skills in the days and weeks following such learning. Thus, pilots completing accelerated training are encouraged to fly frequently immediately following this training.

Training philosophy
There are two basic aspects to flight training. One aspect is the acquisition of sufficient knowledge and skills to pass the FAA check ride and acquire the rating. Any flight school or independent CFI-I can fulfill this aspect for you.
The other and far more compelling aspect of pilot training is developing sufficient knowledge, skills, and aeronautical decision making (ADM) ability to safely operate year-around in the national airspace system.
Bob Miller Flight Training, Inc. specifically addresses this second aspect of flight training. Our student pilots are afforded opportunity to train in real world conditions including challenging crosswinds, turbulence, and in the clouds. Much of this training is provided while on long cross-country flight to distant airports of the student's choice.

Training aircraft
We use 2005 Cessna 172SP training aircraft. Each meticulously maintained aircraft is equipped with Garmin G1000 glass panel cockpits. Additional features include uplink XM weather depictions, traffic, and terrain avoidance equipment plus autopilots and leather seats!

Insurance
Bob Miller Flight Training, Inc. students are fully insured for liability and property damage insurance coverage when accompanied by one of our certificated flight instructors. This insurance extends to our solo flight students and renters with a $1,000 deductible. This deductible compares favorably to many other flight schools that impose a $25,000 deductible.
